The research interests are mainly focused on:

Quality Management - Statistical Process Control:

• Development of adaptive Shewhart and EWMA control charts for process monitoring: sample mean, range, st.dev. and variance. Statistical and economic design of adaptive control charts; these topics of research are carried out in collaboration with Prof. P. Castagliola (Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Nantes & IRCCyN, Nantes, FRANCE), Prof. A.F.B. Costa (FEG-UNESP, Guaratingueta , BRAZIL) and Prof. M. De Magalhaes (Instituto Politecnico (IPRJ), Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL).

• Development of control charts for moitoring the coefficient of variation. This topic of research is carried out in collaboration with Prof. P. Castagliola (Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Nantes & IRCCyN, Nantes, FRANCE), Prof. S. Psarakis (Athens University of Economics, GREECE), Prof. H. Taleb, (Higher Institute of Business Administration of Gafsa, University of Gafsa, TUNISIA)

• Development of SPC inspection procedures for short production runs. This topic of research is carried out in collaboration with Prof. P. Castagliola (Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Nantes & IRCCyN, Nantes, FRANCE), Dr. G. Nenes (University of Western Macedonia, GREECE), Dr. S. Panagiotidou ( Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, GREECE), Prof. S. Chakraborti (University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA)

• Design of adaptive multivariate T2 control charts. This topic of research is carried out in collaboration with Prof. A Faraz (Centre for Quantitative Methods and Operations Management, HEC Management School, University of Liège, Liège, BELGIUM) and Prof. E. Saniga (University of Delaware, Newark, USA).

• Design of control charts for monitoring the ratio of two normal variables. his topic of research is carried out in collaboration with Prof. P. Castagliola (Institut Universitaire de Technologie de Nantes & IRCCyN, Nantes, FRANCE), Prof. A Faraz (Centre for Quantitative Methods and Operations Management, HEC Management School, University of Liège, Liège, BELGIUM)
