In his academic activity, he has coordinated research groups of undergraduate and Ph.D. students during their degree thesis work or Ph.D. thesis work . He has supervised a number of B.Sc. and M.Sc. theses, with responsibility for establishing the research work to be carried out, guiding students in planning and carrying out experiments, interpreting the results, making hypotheses or assumptions on the studied phenomena and performing calculations and numerical analyses to check their accuracy.
His main achievements in the research activities are linked to multi-sectorial topics. In particular, the research activities are related to the following main topics:
1. Investigations into the thermodynamic properties of gases;
2. Heat Release studies in Internal Combustion Engines;
3. Wind turbine design;
4. Sub sonic wind tunnel design.
